The Grade 8-12 and VIU Classroom Visit Initiative was a new offering of professional learning for Vancouver Island University campus community members (faculty, support staff, administration) to visit local high school classrooms (grades 8-12) in School Districts 68 and 69 and The High School at VIU. The initiative is now over for signing up. 

Initiative Outcomes

1. Build greater communications between education sectors (K-12 and post-secondary)
2. Share teaching and learning experiences between educators.
3. Engage VIU teaching faculty in observing forward-moving Gr. 8-12 teachers engaging with curricula and gain experiences observing student learning
4. Develop collaborations and shared understandings of the K-20 learning journey
