You are being invited to participate in:
The Soul Project: Evoking an Ensouled Life
This project is created and facilitated by Micki McCartney a doctoral student of Meridian University in Petaluma, CA: Ed.D. Concentration: Leadership and Social Transformation.
This project is part of a capstone assignment: Creative Action Project.
The objective of this project is to invite individuals to explore, understand, learn about, re-engage or reimagine the calling of their life’s purpose, or to affirm what they know to be true about their life’s purpose.
Through the creation of a digital story, each participant will describe their soul’s unique narrative of purpose and calling. Each participant’s digital story will be showcased in The Soul Project’s repository (on this site), and a more extensive project will be created using some or all of the digital stories to stitch together into a small movie. The assignments can be submitted anonymously. If participants prefer to use a pseudonym, they are free to do so. If participants are comfortable in having their name attached, they are also welcome to do so.
- Your participation in this project is voluntary.
- Use your name or choose a pseudonym.
- There will be no incentive offered to participate in this project.
Access to the Blog: Each participant will receive an email from me inviting their participation in The Soul Project: Evoking an Ensouled Life. When participants have completed their digital story they will send the link and content to me via email and I will post it on the Blog site; this process will be confirmation of your agreement to participate in the project.
This project will begin on February 2, 2018
On this day my grandson, Jaxon Deron McCartney will turn five years old. Re-occurring images of home and family have been prevalent in my life. It is has been brought to my consciousness through my doctoral course work and the design of this project that I have reimagined my life as a journey of mystery and joy. Thus, I mark the beginning of The Soul Project on the day my grandson turns five years old! Micki
Submission Digital Story Assignment Due: March 31, 2018
There are no known risks if you decide to participate in this project, nor are there any costs or incentives for participating. The information collected is intended to add value to the lives of the participants. Subsequently, the digital story is designed in the format of a non-disposable assignment, which was taught to me in a series of group and one-on-one sessions through the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC.
If you have any questions or concerns about completing the non-disposable storytelling assignment, or about being in this study, you may contact Micki McCartney at firstname.lastname@example.org
