MA/ MSc European Studies Program
University of Flensburg and the University of Southern Denmark
The program is a full-time two-year degree exclusively taught in English (with the opportunity to take electives in either German or Danish as well if desired at either of the two universities). The focus of the program is on regional development and cooperation as well as external relations of the EU, with the opportunity to direct work towards one’s own research interests. There are numerous opportunities to enrich the studies through an internship or summer schools (which can both be accepted for credits) at different locations across Europe. There is also the possibility to take German languages courses parallel to ones studies (from A1 beginner level to C1 advanced level) or other languages such as Turkish or Danish. The students come from many different cultural backgrounds (Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Hungary, USA, Argentina, etc.), as well as, scholarly backgrounds (e.g., law, economics, political science, and history).
The program has no tuition fees for both non-EU and EU students, just the 100 Euro administrative/ transit fee per semester for all students. There is also the opportunity to receive full scholarships through the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
