Free Tutoring (Online and Face-to-Face)

Volunteer tutors are ready to support you! Free tutoring is available for you if you are in Adult Basic Education, Trades, or first year university courses. The vetted tutors have a wide range of skills, experience, and knowledge. Tutors can help you with specific courses or offer general support if you want regular check-ins.

How to Request a Tutor

Go to this link: viu.ca/tutor-request and fill out the requested information.

Note:  If you have difficulty with the form, email VolunteerTutorCoordinator@viu.ca for assistance.

Be prepared to make a commitment. This means showing up on time for tutorials, letting your tutor know if you must miss a session, returning phone calls/texts/emails, and being prepared for sessions.
