Studying Strategies

Remember that VIU has a whole set of resources for you on the Learning Matters site! Check out Prepare and Take Exams and Study Skills and Techniques on the Learning Matters site for more videos, tips, and information.

There are many different studying strategies. It is important to identify what strategies work best for you and the subject you are learning. Depending on what kinds of classes you have taken, you may have used strategies like highlighting as you read or making flash cards. However, these strategies may not be the most effective ways of studying.
