2014 BC Archaeology Forum Update and Reminder

The 2014 BC Archaeology Forum program is now online!

There will be an informal gathering for forum participants at the Dorchester’s lounge on Friday, October 17th from 7-9pm. The Forum itself will take place all day Saturday, with registration beginning at 8:15am and talks running between 9am to 4:30pm. This will be followed by an evening reception around the corner at the Nanaimo Museum from 5-7:30pm.

We have also extended the deadline for registration to October 16th. Please register ASAP as space is limited!!

We look forward to seeing you in Nanaimo!

We have a few updates and reminders about the upcoming 2014 BC Archaeology Forum:

• Where:  Nanaimo, BC

• When:  October 17-19, 2014

• Where:  The Dorchester Hotel has extended their discounted rates for Forum participants until September 30th, so book ASAP!

• What:  The 2014 Forum website is http://wordpress.viu.ca/archforum2014/

• What:  All participants please register online at http://wordpress.viu.ca/archforum2014/registration/ before September 30th. Space is limited, so register ASAP!

• What:  Presenters must submit (a) their presentation title and (b) a couple of sentences explaining what your talk is about and how it relates to our two conference themes (http://wordpress.viu.ca/archforum2014/call-for-presenters/). Please get in touch with us ASAP, as speaking space is extremely limited: archforum2014@gmail.com

Please note that the deadline to register is October 10th. However, to assist in conference organization, please register as early as possible.

Also, note that no payment is required to register — payment will be due on the day of the conference. We anticipate registration to be around $20.00 (Aboriginal people and VIU students will have their conference fees waived).
