If you are an instructor who uses the VIULearn Grades tool to calculate student’s final grades, your end of term final grade entry just got a lot simpler. Enterprise Services, the Records department and CIEL have worked together over the last several months to add an option in the official Grade Entry tool to import released calculated final grades from VIULearn with just one click!
Note: This process imports a percentage grade. If you do not see a percentage column in Enter Final Grades, you will be unable to import grades at this time. If you have questions about the grade scale for your program, please speak with your department or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Using VIULearn for Grades
The VIULearn grades tool allows instructors to easily keep track of students’ marks throughout a course and share these grades with students. Once all grades are entered for a student, instructors have the option of releasing the final grade for the course for students to view. This Final Calculated Grade can now be easily imported into the official grade entry tool to simplify the process of submitting final grades.
If you are new to the VIULearn Grades Tool, you can find resources on how to set up VIULearn grades and enter grades on the CIEL website. You can also schedule a help session with a technology or pedagogy specialist by emailing email@example.com.
