Musings from the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning

Author Barbara Metcalf

I have been a nurse for over 30 years and have always worked in post surgical care in some capacity or other.

I am originally from London, ON and have been in Nanaimo for 17 years. I have worked as the Clinical Nurse Educator for the post surgical floors at NRGH and worked on 3rd floor as a staff nurse.

In Ontario, I was an instructor at The University of Western Ontario for six years doing a combination of clinical and classroom teaching. My area of research is Violence Against Women but have developed an interest in simulation. I am the Simulation Lab Coordinator for Health and Human Services.
