When we think of the A-word (“Assessment”) it’s easy to lapse into dreaded thoughts about more marking and grading. But not this time. Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) are a vast tool set for faculty that can be used to open the data flow between teachers and learners. Being quick data-collectors, they are easy to use, full of information, and do not take much time. Best of all, they have nothing to do with marking and grading. But they have everything to do with learning. Join us for a short session to learn about how you can use CATs to collect live data from your students. They will not only improve student performance, but will promote their buy-in for your learning activities and assignments.
