Reimagining Self & Teaching Through Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being Part 2

August 26, 2022 @ 9:30 am12:30 pm

Free

This two-part introduction to the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, the 4Rs, circle, and group work invites faculty members to reimagine our personal journeys of decolonization and our practice as teachers.
Part One of this workshop offers faculty members an opportunity to reflect on our personal values, goals and well-being which informs our engagement in this work. Part Two builds on these reflections and teachings, inviting an exploration into the practice of meaningfully incorporating holistic and Indigenous ways of knowing and being into our teaching.

Faculty are invited to join Mike Calvert, Métis Faculty Member and Chair of the Indigenous Commitments Committee, and Elodie Button from the CIEL, at the Paine Horticulture Centre for both workshops. Registration in both workshops is recommended, and attendance in Part one is required in order to attend Part Two.
