  • A greatly reduced maximum class size (15 students max)
  • Food, tents and group equipment
  • Land use permits
  • An additional field instructor
  • Specialized course supplies (topographic map sets, water purification, etc).

While this is considerably more expensive than traditional courses at VIU, similar wilderness leadership training run by other organizations cost in excess of $4000.
