History 102 Essay Spring 2020

Using ALL of the documents below, as well as your additional research, you are to answer the question of why was the United States involved in Vietnam.

For your essay you must use:

• all of  the documents below
• at least one (1) additional scholarly article (If you are not absolutely certain what a scholarly article is, there are lots of online references and tutorials to assist you.  Be certain it is a scholarly article!
• at least one (1) additional book (not a novel).

The essay is to be 2,500 words in length, +/- 5%

The essay is due Monday March 23, 2020.

References and bibliographies must be used in the essay, and they must be in the proper format for a history essay.  Be certain to consult the History Department Style Guide.
