The Defining Diversity: Creating Community project responds to the question, ” How does participation in educational experiences that include a deep exploration of the meaning and value of diversity in our community, combined with the introduction of asset based thinking, impact citizens? More specifically, how does the educational experience Defining Diversity, Creating Community impact each citizen’s view of self, their relationships with others, and their capacity to contribute to the social and economic well-being of their community over time?”
To respond to the research question, we sent invited people who took the 2 day course, Defining Diversity, Creating Community to complete a survey.
A focus group also followed each course delivery. The midpoint snapshot summarizes key themes that emerged during the first three focus groups.
