I have studied mountain ranges in the interior of tectonic plates (southern Africa, eastern Australia and the Transantarctic mountains) and also at convergent plate boundaries (European Alps, Himalayas and the Andes).

Willkapampa mountain range in the Andes of Peru.

I have pursued a number of themes during my career which are all broadly related to water; both as a resource that needs management, and as an agent of erosion that creates dramatic landscapes.
