Left to right/top to bottom (1-10). This assignment was definitely similar to the 30 circle exercise we did in class last week. I found myself wracking my brain just as much but liked that I wasn’t being timed to complete the circles. It is amazing how a simple shape can be manipulated so many different ways. I didn’t mess around with the placement of my circles, although I now wish I did (perhaps I will re-visit this assignment later). I liked the idea of two contrasting images so for two circle pairs I did opposing designs (circles 7/8, and 9/10. I did a lot of subtracting and adding of negative space between my circles as well as divide the circle by placing different designs in the circle vs. the background, creating the illusion that the circle is a bound shape.
