We are seeking an associate to join Duncan Allen Law, a boutique family law firm located in the heart of downtown Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island. Our firm was created in 2014 with three primary objectives: to promote work-life balance, to provide excellent legal representation to every client, and to create a positive and supportive work environment.
Our lawyers work from home regularly. This is facilitated by a paperless office, desktop faxing software, electronic signatures and remote technology for communicating seamlessly with their assistant in the office. We recognize the demands of having a young family and our lawyers have found this structure allows for work-life balance while still producing first-rate legal work.
The desirable candidate will be a great team player, have 1-3 years of family law experience, and be motivated to build and maintain their own client base. The ideal start date is July 15, 2017, although this is negotiable. Remuneration is based on a fee-split, and includes health benefits, health and wellness incentive, and a continued education fund. We welcome candidates interested in flexible work hours, job sharing, and office sharing arrangements.
