Today in the Toolshed, Rita Gower presented on How to Implement Case-Studies using VIULearn Tools, focusing on the key points listed in the slide below:

Rita kindly gave us permission to record her presentation. So, if you were unable to attend, or would really like a re-run of what you learned this morning about how case-study stories make for higher levels of asynchronous learning, here is Rita’s uncut version.

To elaborate on some of the finer details of Asynchronous Learning Design, Rita has made a short video tutorial. Her focus is on creating a seamless journey for the students which she does by paying particular attention to the course structure and layout. Rita also takes advantage of VIULearn tools by embedding assignments, discussions, and readings into the descriptions so that they are easily accessible to students.
