Karjoana Farm<\/strong> was one of the 60-odd farms on Vancouver Island that belonged to Island Farms Dairy Co-operative.\u00a0 Island Farms<\/a> is 100% owned and operated by dairy farmers–all Canadian.\u00a0 On January 30, 2005, Agropur Cooperative<\/a> of Qu\u00e9bec purchased the assets of Island Farms.<\/p>\n

Like many small farms, Karjoana is adapting to the changing economic climate of the business.\u00a0 On April 11, 2006, the farm stopped shipping milk to Island Farms.<\/p>\n
