When you travel to other places, you learn about different peoples, cultures, and places. There is the excitement of new smells, colours and sounds. When you learn, you travel in your mind, exploring new ideas and thoughts. Your mind sparkles as new connections and discoveries are made. I love to look at pictures from my trips with my family. As I view my own learning as a voyage, I have incorporated my travel pictures on this site.

I work at Vancouver Island University as Chair and  instructor in the Faculty of Academic and Career Preparation in Nanaimo, BC. I teach Math & Science face-to-face, blended and fully online. Recently I finished the Online Learning and Teaching Diploma (OLTD) and Masters of Education as I wanted my students to get the best learning experience that I could give. My goal is that they not only learn about the subject but that they become more effective learners
