MBA/PMBA English Support for Fall 2015

Bruce Cornwall is providing VIU English support again this semester.

I can help with APA referencing, understanding assignments, speaking and presentations, thinking out loud about readings to help better understand content, and checking writing for misunderstandings or unclear ideas. We don’t do editing or proofreading. You can network with other students to correct errors.

You can book an appointment on this page, or you can drop-in Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12:00 in building 255, room 211.

Appointments are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00, and Fridays 11:30 to 1:30. Please print out your assignments ahead of the appointment, and bring the assignment sheet that your instructor gave you.

One student can book two appointments per week, but groups can book four appointments per week.

APA and Reading Workshop: Busy on July 17th?

If you were busy and couldn’t make it to the  workshop on Friday July 17th, send me an email, drop by 255/211 or 250/240 and I’ll do my best to bring you up to date and give you some materials you can work on.

Given enough people are interested, I can do the workshop again, and check the work people did in Friday July 17th’s workshop.

Come and try summarizing for annotated bibliographies and literature reviews.

Also join us if you have any APA questions.

Welcome Back to Continuing Students and Welcome New Students

A new semester is beginning, and MBA English support is here during the summer to provide assistance! I’ll be coming around to classes in the next two weeks to hand out this semester’s MBA English support flyer so I expect to see some familiar faces and some new ones.

I’ve prepared and booked two Academic Integrity/APA/Paraphrasing  workshops: AI/APA workshop 1 Friday May 8th from 2:00 to 3:00 in 25o/125; and AI/APA/Paraphrasing workshop 2 Friday May 15th from 2:00 to 3:00 in 250/125.

If you’re interested, please come!

If not, I’ll see you for appointments in 250/240 or I’ll see you for drop in in 255/211.

Best wishes for you to accomplish your goals this semester!
