Week 47

November 20th // Budding and Hardiness

We can observe that the bracts on the plants are now fully formed, and that the crop has entered its next growth phase, as we can see flowering buds starting to forms on a majority of the poinsettias. The crop is looking great, in time for our Sale Event happening early next week.

To induce a certain amount of hardiness in the plants, and to get those bracts an extra boost in colors, we have modified the climate set-points to reduce the average temperature in the greenhouse until the production is complete. The set-points are now the same day and night, and will maintain the climate between 18° and 20°.
