People have an affinity for stories—we learn through stories and we teach with stories! On May 12th and 13th 2022, CIEL hosted a celebration for VIU teaching faculty where we explored the diverse contexts for storytelling and storylearning. We set aside two days to gather together and hear stories of learning transformation, stories of transformed classroom practice, and stories that explored new perspectives and ways of thinking about the world. Attendees learned traditional and innovative frameworks for storytelling and came away with new ways to use stories in their own practice.
