Graffiti Tag

What’s in a Tag?

Tags and Categories should be applied to posts, and allow users to search the content of the website. They also help with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). It can be a bit confusing, but the easiest way to imagine it is to think of Categories as the bigger picture, and Tags as the fine print (more information here).

How Many?

For this workshop, each post needs to have one Category and two Tags. You can select Categories from the list, but you can’t create them because Authors cannot create Categories. Choose the WP Workshop Category, and then either use Tags that are already there, or create new ones. Try not to create too many because that makes your post harder to find.

How do they Work?

Go to Top 5 Tea Brands and click on the WP Workshop category (scroll to the end of the post to find them). You will then see a list of all the posts with that category (there should be three!).

Types of Blog Post

The Categories for the these posts reflect the type of post and the fact the are part of the WP Workshop.
