Spirit Bear Lodge, Klemtu, BC.
Beautiful coastal location to learn about the unique Kermode Bear and the incredible beauty and serenity of the Kitasso / Xai’xais territory. This was a 90 minute boat trip north east of Bella Bella along some of the most beautiful coast in the world. We saw whales, otters and many coastal sea birds.
Reflection:
Prior to this trip I hadn’t traveled north of Port Hardy on the coast and much to my joy this experience introduced me to an entirely new perspective and appreciation for the people, culture, wildlife and environment of coastal BC.
