VIU nursing instructor, Nona Brack, discusses her experiences shifting a variety of her courses to an online environment. Nona’s experiences in pivoting include moving a theory course online with only a few weeks to go, redesigning a 3rd year clinical practice course, and altering, rather quickly, a nursing skills lab course for online delivery. In sharing her experiences, Nona discusses her choices, the reasons behind them, and reflects on how online teaching and learning is going for her. We’re grateful to have captured Nona’s voice at this time. As you will hear, her stories highlight the importance of collaboration with colleagues, partnerships with students, and an open and flexible attitude toward technology.
