Service Outages on VIU Web Services
A planned power shut down in the library has caused servers in the VIU IT department to fail repeatedly over the weekend. There have been reported outages with VIULearn, VIUTube, Mediawiki, and WordPress. As of this notice all services except VIUTube are back up. We will update this notice when the situation is resolved.
LearnSupport Service Closed for the Holidays
Happy holidays! The learn support service desk is closed for the holidays, re-opening on January 2nd. We hope you have a nice break and will see you next year!

Service Window – December 8th
VIULearn will be undergoing its monthly service window on December 8th, between 10pm and 4am. The service will be unavailable for approximately 10 minutes at some point in this timeframe. We apologize for any inconvenience. Make sure you regularly save your work during this window.
D2L Issues Resolved
As of 10:15 PM, D2L reports that the outage has been resolved. Please advise the CIEL at learnsupport@viu.ca if issues persist. Thank you very much for your patience today.

VIU users may be unable to, or may experience issues when when trying to access content, pages or items within courses. Your course materials and work are still intact; the connection to them is just not working at the moment.
