VIUTube servers were down from approximately 8:00 pm PST March 10 to 1:00 am PST March 11. During this outage, users may have seen errors when trying to play videos or access https://viuvideos.viu.ca.

The servers are back online; however, we are continuing to see experiencing intermittent performance issues as well as occasional 500 errors when loading media on VIUTube. There may be intermittent issues playing VIUTube media. Our vendor, Kaltura is aware of the challenge and working to resolve the issue.

If you receive an error when trying to load a video, please try refreshing the page to reload the video. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Users may have experienced an error when trying to sign in to VIULearn, VIUBlogs, VIUTube, or Zoom between 9:00pm-11:00pm PST on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 due to an unexpected login server problem. Users who were already logged into these services before this outage should not have been effected. This issue has since been resolved and services should now be working as expected.
