ISSUE: Desire2Learn is currently experiencing technical difficulties.
VIU users may be unable to, or may experience issues when when trying to access content, pages or items within courses. Your course materials and work are still intact; the connection to them is just not working at the moment.
Thank you for your patience during this issue.
All systems are functioning normally. Hope the term is going well!
Hi Everyone, VIULearn (D2L) will be undergoing routine maintenance on November 10th, between 10pm and 4am. The service will be inaccessible for a brief period during this window.
All’s good in VIULearn. New versions of internet browsers will not display mixed content, which is affecting your ability to see some content in VIULearn. For more information, please click here.
VIULearn (D2L) will undergo regular scheduled maintenance between 10pm and 4am on Sunday October 13th. The service will not be down for the whole time so users in the system are reminded to keep saving any work they are doing in VIULearn. Thank you for your understanding.
Some Shaw internet customers may be unable to access some websites (including VIULearn / Desire2Learn). Shaw is working on this issue and there is nothing that VIU can do on this end to speed the process along. Shaw is sorry for this inconvenience.
Dayna B, a lucky VIU student, is the winner of a brand new 32GB Google Nexus 7.
The Nexus 7 was the grand prize for a survey contest that the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning held as part of their VIULearn (Desire2Learn) Student Orientation program.
Congratulations Dayna!

Gmail is treating some emails from @viu.ca addresses as spam. Information Technology is working with Google to resolve this issue. If you are a Gmail user, please check your spam folder for mail from VIU. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!
