My name is Moritz Döring, and I was born in Hamburg, Germany. That’s where I also live and study: I’m currently in my fifth semester of journalism at Macromedia University in Hamburg. As part of a semester abroad for Fall 2022, I’m spending it in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, before returning to Germany.
My prior history with journalism has already given me valuable, practical experience: Even before my studies, I have been working for the entertainment website film.tv for more than 4 years, where I write news articles about movies, streaming services, television, celebrities and much more to this day. Writing and publishing, editing videos, conducting interviews and regularly working with a CMS has given me important skills that I put to use in the world of online journalism.
Branching out my knowledge and talents, I am also writing articles on topics such as health and medicine for a joint medical practice in Germany and publishing blog posts about my travel experiences on MoreMoritz.
Nowadays, in times of misinformation and manipulation, the world needs interesting, high-quality journalism more than ever.
