The IT team will be performing some maintenance to the servers that host VIUBlogs on Wednesday, April 26 between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. During this maintenance window, the site may be unavailable for 15 minutes. To avoid losing any work, please save any work in progress before the maintenance window and avoid making changes to your site until after the maintenance is complete.

Users can begin using VIUBlogs again after the outage from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm on April 3, 2023. However, some users may continue to see intermittent error messages.

If you see the error “Error establishing a database connection” or “Updating failed” please refresh the page and your page should load as normal. We are continuing to investigate this issue. We apologize for the inconveneince.

In order to avoid losing any new content, we strongly recommend writing content in a word processing program and copying it into VIUBlogs rather than writing content directly in VIUBlogs.

VIUBlogs experienced an unexpected network outage starting at 8:30 am on April 3. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are working with IT staff to resolve the underlying issue. Some users may experience intermittent access to their site until the issue is fully resolved. An update will be posted once the issue has been resolved.
