From 10:00 PM on Saturday, November 12th to 4:00 AM on Sunday, November 13th D2L will be performing routine server maintenance. During this window, maintenance pages will be posted indicating the service is unavailable, and you will not be able to log in and access your courses or assignments.

Our service provider will be performing routine maintenance on the servers that host VIULearn between 1am and 7am on July 10th.  During this period you may lose access to VIULearn for several minutes.  Please save any work and log out of the system during this time period.  Thanks for your patience!

Dayna B, a lucky VIU student, is the winner of a brand new 32GB Google Nexus 7.

The Nexus 7 was the grand prize for a survey contest that the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning held as part of their VIULearn (Desire2Learn) Student Orientation program.

We are pleased to report that all systems are stable.

The Desire2Learn July maintenance window is scheduled for Saturday July 13 at 10:00pm to Sunday July 14 at 4:00am PDT.

Desire2Learn’s servers will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

Some users are reporting intermittent issues logging into D2L and accessing D2L content.  If you receive an error we suggest retrying as these issues tend to occur only 25% of the time.  We are working with Desire2Learn to resolve this issue as soon as possible and will update the community once this has been resolved.

On Thursday June 27th we will be upgrading the Desire2Learn learning environment to version 10.2.  The upgrade is scheduled for 6am and should be completed by 12pm at the very latest.

The latest version of 10.2 includes significant updates to the Discussions, Content, and Email tools and minor updates to the Dropbox and Gradebook tools.  For a review of the changes please see this document.
