Hello everyone, it’s me, Ella. I’m 19 years old and from Munich (Germany) where I started my journalism studies one year and a half ago. I just spent a semester at VIU in Canada and I am very grateful to add an international perspective to my still young journalism journey.
When it comes to writing, it started very early. I was always running around with a notebook, dreaming of being an author someday. The passion for telling stories remained, but over the years I realised what I wanted to do with it.
The concern for what is going on in the world, showing peoples’ perspectives and telling their stories, has always motivated me.
Beyond writing, I am generally a very creative person. I like to design and create, from illustrations to infographics to whole videos you will find a lot on this site. Photography is also something that has accompanied me for years, preferably with film. You can always find me with a book and coffee, looking for inspiration.

You will find a wide range of topics here. Contributions on political events and debates, on social events and issues as well as on art and culture. What they have in common are people behind them; experiences, stories and feelings. I believe that we can make the world a better place by broadening our own horizons and looking at the stories of others. I would like to start with this. I hope you will join me.
