The issue which prevented users from viewing PDF and Microsoft Office files from within the D2L content preview has been resolved. If you continue to experience any issues please contact us.
We are currently investigating an issue which is impacting users trying to view PDF and Microsoft Office files from within the D2L content preview. Some PDF and Microsoft Office files fail to load in the content window. As a workaround users can download the files and view them from their desktop. We are working with Desire2Learn to resolve this issue as soon as possible and will update the community once this has been resolved.
The Desire2Learn May maintenance window is scheduled for Saturday May 11 at 10:00pm to Sunday May 12 at 4:00am PDT.
Desire2Learn’s servers will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
The IT department at VIU is in the process of upgrading a major piece of equipment which is intermittently causing authentication issues for users logging into D2L. If you experience login issues wait 20 to 30 seconds and try again. The issue should resolve itself. If you are still not able to login to Desire2Learn after 30 seconds, exit your internet browser and start a new internet browser session.
