VIUTube Express Capture Currently Unavailable

Videos recorded using VIUTube’s Express Capture are currently not saving due to an unforeseen issue. We are working with our vendor Kaltura to resolve this issue as soon as possible. This outage affects all users who are attempting to record new videos using Express Capture.

While this issue is ongoing, please use VIUTube Personal Capture if you would like to record a video. A getting started guide for Personal Capture can be found on our website here: https://ciel.viu.ca/learning-technologies-innovation/technology-tools/viutube/using-personal-capture

All other systems including Personal Capture, access to videos, and uploading and playback on VIUTube are available and stable.

All systems are currently stable.

If you are using Zoom for meetings or online class sessions, you will need to update your Zoom client to version 5.0 in order to continue using the software. Users on VIU-owned devices can find the update in the Software Center. Users on personal computers can install the latest version of Zoom from https://viu.zoom.us/download#client_4meeting
