There are some ongoing issues in VIUTube following yesterday’s update. Users may experience some performance issues including media not appearing as expected in My Media. Kaltura engineers are actively working to resolve these issues and will have full services restored as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

VIUTube is now accessible. Videos can be played and shared as normal.

VIUTube Unavailable
VIUTube is currently not available due to an outage on UBC’s servers where VIUTube media are stored. At this time there is no ETA for when this problem will be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

VIUBlogs Scheduled Update May 6
We will be conducting an update on VIUBlogs Monday, May 6 between 6:00 am and 9:00 am. During this window, users may experience brief outages. We recommend not making changes to your blog during the maintenance window.

Systems Stable
We are pleased to report that VIULearn, VIUBlogs, and VIUTube systems are stable. Students should now be able to access their Student Record to reset their Student Computer Accounts if necessary.

VIU Computer Password Reset Not Available
IT is currently investigating a challenge with Web services on the server isapp.viu.ca and students.viu.ca. This challenge is preventing all students from accessing anything in their student record.
Until this issue is resolved, faculty, staff, and students will not be able to reset their VIU computer accounts. If you are having difficulty logging in to VIULearn, VIUBlogs, or VIUTube, you will need to wait until these services are restored before you will be able to reset your password. There will be a VIU-wide outage beginning at 8:00 am -8:00 pm Sunday, March 3. This outage will affect all VIU network systems including (but not limited to) VIULearn, VIUBlogs, and VIUTube.
