The issue which prevented users from uploading files in Desire2Learn has been resolved. However we are still experiencing some instability with the Desire2Learn email service. We will update the community once this has been resolved.

We are currently experiencing an issue where users may receive an error when uploading files to Desire2Learn. This potentially impacts instructors uploading content and students submitting assignments. We are working with Desire2Learn to resolve this issue as soon as possible and will update the community once this has been resolved
We are pleased to announce that all systems are stable.
The February Desire2Learn maintenance window scheduled for Saturday February 9 has been cancelled as Desire2Learn focuses resources on site stability.
There will be no scheduled downtime this week.
Users have reported an issue with D2L email delays however we have been assured all email that was marked as sent will be delivered in queue.
If you happened to receive an error when trying to send email from D2L this email will have to be resent.

As of this morning we are experiencing consistent stability in the Desire2Learn learning environment. Please contact us if you experience any issues.

Incident: An issue at Desire2Learn is impacting Vancouver Island University’s access to Desire2Learn.
End User Impact: End users are experiencing slow performance or are not able to access Desire2Learn.
Status: Desire2Learn believes they have identified the root cause to the performance issues. The solution requires that Desire2Learn be unavailable today, January 31st, for maintenance starting at 3:30pm.
We sincerely apologize for the impact this disruption may cause. We will follow up with further updates as they become available.
Incident: D2L Network Operations Center (NOC) advises that an infrastructure event may be impacting access to D2L for clients.
End User Impact: End users not able to access their Learning Environment, or experiencing slow performance.
Status: SaaS Operations and vendors are fully engaged and working on this issue.
