Zoom Update Required

Zoom has released an important new security update for desktop and mobile clients. If you do not have the latest version of Zoom installed on your device, you will be prompted to install the update before you will be permitted to join or start a meeting. Scheduled Maintenance June 29, 7-8pm

The IT department will be updating security certificates on the login pages for VIULearn and Zoom on Thursday June 29 between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. If you need to access these services between those hours, please ensure you log in prior to 7:00 pm. Only the login page for users who are not yet signed in will be impacted.

Scheduled VIUBlogs Maintenance

VIUBlogs will undergo scheduled maintenance on Wednesday June 28 between 6:00am – 7:00 am. Please save any changes and log out of VIUBlogs before the maintenance window and refrain from trying to make any changes until the maintenance is complete. Sites on VIUBlogs may be unavailable for up to 15 minutes.

VIULearn Course Copy Issue Resolved

The challenge with copying course components in VIULearn is now resolved. Any Course Copy that was stuck in queue should now be complete. If you are still experiencing any challenges copying content from one course to another, please email learnsupport@viu.ca for further assistance.

VIULearn Course Copy Not Processing

At this time we are working with our vendor to investigate a challenge with copying course content from one course to another in VIULearn. At this time we recommend that instructors do not try to copy course components until the issue is resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

VIUBlogs Scheduled Maintenance April 26

The IT team will be performing some maintenance to the servers that host VIUBlogs on Wednesday, April 26 between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. During this maintenance window, the site may be unavailable for 15 minutes. To avoid losing any work, please save any work in progress before the maintenance window and avoid making changes to your site until after the maintenance is complete.
