VIUTube will be undergoing maintenance on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 6:00 am – 9:00 am. During this window users uploading media may experience delays or unexpected errors during upload. Users will not be able to edit, clip, copy, or make any changes to their uploaded media during this maintenance window.

We are experiencing performance and long delay issues as well as occasional 500 errors when loading media on VIUTube. Our vendor, Kaltura is aware of the challenge and working to resolve the issue.

We are currently investigating an issue that has caused waitlisted students to be removed from their courses in VIULearn. This issue is contained within VIULearn and waitlisted students have not been officially unenrolled from their courses. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. VIUBlogs will be updated to WordPress version 5.5 on Friday, August 28, 8:30-9:00 am. Users may experience a brief (up to 15 minutes) interruption in service while the update is applied to their site.

Users are unable to log in to VIUTube following the recent update. Users will see “invalid username/password” when trying to log in at https://viuvideos.viu.ca. We are working with Kaltura engineers to resolve these issues and will have full services restored as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Instructors in VIULearn can upload and access their media from the VIUTube link under Faculty Tools within their VIULearn course.
