The sport of Volleyball has been such a significant part of my journey over the past 40 years.
Introduced in Elementary School, I became absolutely hooked when I watched on television the finals of the 1976 Montreal Olympics between Poland and the USSR. Since that time, Volleyball has given me the opportunity to visit every Province in Canada many times over, as well as Countries from every region of the Globe. Volleyball has allowed me to embrace “Sport for Life”, from grade school through University (capturing two National Championships with the University of Manitoba Bisons Club), as a young adult still with a strong competitive fire (winning numerous Beach tournaments in Michigan and SouthAustralia) to competing at the World Masters Games and re-connecting with old teammates (Bronze Medalists!). Playing Volleyball has been a constant in my life. The sport has given me so much, and through Teaching, Coaching and Leadership positions I have always attempted to give back at every possible opportunity.
