In 2015, Anthropology joined forces with the Culinary Institute of Vancouver Island (CIVI) to offer a field school in Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Students met before departure, which included a trip to Vancouver to learn about gelato making (Bella Gelateria) and to visit Little Italy. A feature of the field school was cooking with Chef Shore (CIVI) and Chef Marcella of Giglio Cooking School in Firenze (see blog entries).
