A study of language in culture and society. Some of the topics explored include: social meaning in language; gender and language; the use of language in identity and power relations in media and marketing.

The Diversity Style Guide. “This guide, initially a project of the Center for Integration and Improvement of Journalism at San Francisco State University, brings together definitions and information from more than two dozen style guides, journalism organizations and other resources.” Its list of resources is quite comprehensive–worth reviewing!
