All Systems Stable

We are pleased to report that all systems are currently stable.

VIUTube Challenge Update

We are continuing to see intermittent challenges with accessing and uploading VIUTube media. The service provider has made some modifications to improve performance and access. Users may experience further intermittent challenges while these modifications are being finalized.

VIUTube Service Interruption

VIUTube experienced an issue with new media uploads over the weekend. Media uploaded on Sunday March 21st and the morning of Monday March 22nd may not appear in My Media. Our service provider has investigated and applied a fix to restore service. They are continuing to monitor the system in case of further issues.

New media uploads should be accessible in My Media. As a precaution when uploading media content, please use the Go to Media link and copy your media URL before navigating away. As long as you have the URL for your media, you should be able to view and share as normal. If you uploaded media during that time and do not have the media URL, we recommend re-uploading your media.

VIUTube Service Restored

VIUTube service has been restored. Media can now be uploaded as normal. Media that was uploaded between 11:30 pm March 17 and 10:30 am March 18 may not appear in your My Media. We are currently investigating this challenge. Thank you for your patience.

VIUTube Media Not Appearing

We are currently seeing a challenge where new media uploads on VIUTube are not showing up in My Media as expected. When uploading media content, please use the Go to Media link and copy your media URL before navigating away. Our service provider is currently investigating. As long as you have the URL for your media, you should be able to view and share as normal. We apologize for the inconvenience.

VIUBlogs Maintenance

We will be performing a network-wide update on VIUBlogs on Thursday, March 18 8:30-9:30 am. Individual sites may be unavailable for up to one minute while the update is deployed to all sites. We recommend postponing changes to your site during this update window.

A fix has been applied to resolve the challenges with VIUTube. If you are continuing to experience any errors or difficulty with VIUTube please report these challenges by emailing learnsupport@viu.ca.

We are continuing to see intermittent errors and slow loading times on VIUTube. If you receive an error, please refresh the page. Our service provider is currently working on deploying a solution to the underlying problem, but we do not yet have an ETA for when this will be fully resolved. Thank you for your patience. VIUTube Service Challenges Update

We are continuing to see intermittent challenges with accessing and uploading VIUTube media. Kaltura engineers are currently rebuilding the service index and have made some modifications to improve performance and access. This process may take several hours to complete. During this time users may notice some media missing from their My Media.
